- City of London office with flexible working options
- £30k-£35k basic salary plus discretionary bonus
My client is a boutique independent wealth planning firm based in the City of London, offering whole-of-market financial advice to high-net-worth retirees, accumulators, local families, and SME owners across Sussex. The firm currently manages the affairs of 200 clients, with assets ranging from smaller cases to portfolios exceeding £1 million. Their services encompass pensions, investments, tax planning, cash flow modelling, retirement planning, and protection. With over 20 years of longstanding relationships, the business has grown organically, driven by a team of dedicated professionals, including a senior paraplanner. The company places exceptional customer satisfaction at the core of its values, resulting in a high client retention rate.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Paraplanner to join the team and work directly with the Managing Director on a one-to-one basis. This role offers a clear progression route to becoming a financial adviser within three years, with clients provided upon completion of the program. As part of the role, you will assist with preparing and writing suitability reports, develop your technical administration skills, and work towards achieving your Level 4 Diploma with full study support provided. You will gain exposure to industry-leading financial planning tools, including Intelligent Office, FE Analytics, and CashCalc, while building a deeper understanding of financial planning.
The ideal candidate will have some experience working within a wealth management business, a solid foundation in technical administration, and basic experience with suitability report writing. A proactive attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn and develop within financial planning are essential. The firm offers a salary of £30k-£35k (negotiable depending on experience), full training, and onboarding, along with ongoing study support for industry exams and CPD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a clear route to becoming a financial adviser, with a full client portfolio provided upon successful progression.
