My client is an award-winning premier Wealth Manager providing financial planning and an investment management service to HNW and UHNW individuals. As part of their strategy to promote from within this has created the need to recruit a talented, experienced Paraplanner to strengthen their Paraplanning team in their London office. The Role

As a Paraplanner/Assistant Financial Planner, duties will include (but not be limited to):

Responsibility for preparing and writing high quality and client focused reports, as well as helping with annual reviews to provide an excellent service to clients.

Preparing cashflow forecasts to help our clients meet their long-term financial goals and objectives.

Accompanying Financial Planners to client meetings, prepare meeting notes and conduct research required to deliver advice and reviews for clients.

Working closely with the Financial Planners and all stakeholders to enable delivery of the income objectives for the team.

Highlighting individual client issues to be discussed at meetings and contact clients when necessary.

Ensure best practice ideas are shared amongst the team.

Suggest any improvements to processes, templates and tools to support the quality and delivery of client advice.

Managing own workload effectively

Demonstrate a commercial and pragmatic approach to workflow management.

Contributing to the success of the team through the adoption and promotion of new practices, keeping a positive outlook and working as part of the team.

Maintaining effective working relationships with other teams within the group

Continually expand your financial planning knowledge with continued wider reading whilst remaining up to date on advice standards and legislation and changes in internal processes and procedures.

About you

As an experienced Paraplanner you will essentially possess:

A minimum 2-3 years’ devoted paraplanning experience

The CII Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent

Experience of working as part of a team of paraplanners

Experience of working with centrally devised tools, templates, and guidance.

Experience of managing own workload and being responsible for the quality of work produced.

Significant level of technical knowledge of UK tax regime, including Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, and Income Tax

High level of technical knowledge in relation to all types of pension arrangements and estate planning
