Our client is a Wealth Management firm who manage client assets and portfolios with an emphasis on the benefits of being a long-term investor within tax-efficient wrappers. Their office is one of over 3,000 offices worldwide and over 100 in the Uk and is supported by a head office in the City of London.

Their branch focuses on and specialises in the tax and investment needs of retirees or those close to retirement. Many of their clients have retired overseas. They manage portfolios on their behalf to ensure they have enough money to see them through a happy retirement.

Due to recent expansion, the business is now seeking a full-time Paraplanner/Analyst to collaborate with our established team of wealth managers and financial planners, to prepare recommendations and produce suitability reports in line with company policy. The role will involve liaising with advisers, providers and Head Office to promote the company’s services to the highest standards of compliance with current FCA regulations. The role may also include assisting the investment management team in research and execution of suitable investments for clients.

Paraplanner Responsibilities

  • Prepare, complete and deliver reports, cashflow planning and annual reviews for clients to a high professional standard, including collating and providing the relevant information.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to branch wealth managers/financial advisors and work closely and communicate clearly with the general branch administration support
  • Assist the Wealth managers in assessing and researching investment funds for client portfolios
  • Monitor client portfolios to ensure they remain inline with chosen investment mandate
  • Gather and record client data as well as developing and maintaining all processes relevant to technical support and undertaking product-based research.
  • Where appropriate, attend client meetings and communicate with clients (both face to face or remote) and with third parties / stakeholders as required
  • Provide reports on key measures on a regular basis and undertake professional development and training where relevant
  • Operate within the compliance and corporate standards of the business, including compliance with the rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA),anti-money laundering (AML) lawsand regulations, the Company compliance policies and staff handbook
  • Ability to ensure that all compliance standards are met and that all Paraplanning report templates are regularly updated in line with legislative and/or product changes
  • Any other duties that would reasonably be expected in supporting a wealth management firm

Person Specification

Knowledge and Experience

  • A minimum of four years’ paraplanning/senior financial administration experience
  • Financial Services Qualification
  • Fully competent in major desktop applications and financial planning software
  • Excellent attention to detail and technically minded
  • Excellent written English skills
