We’re currently working with a prestigious Wealth & Investment Management firm with a strong UK presence, currently managing over £60b in AUM, specialising in providing investment management, financial planning and wealth management services to individuals, charities, and institutions.

Our client is seeking a Paraplanner Manager to lead and develop a team of 5 paraplanners. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable firm, benefit from a hybrid working model (up to 2 days from home) and progress your career within wealth management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 5 Paraplanners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support to financial advisers and clients.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the allocation of work across the paraplanning team, managing workloads to ensure deadlines are met and standards remain high.
  • Financial Planning Support: Provide technical oversight and support to paraplanners in the development and implementation of financial plans for clients.
  • Research and Analysis: Lead on the research and analysis of financial products, ensuring the team delivers accurate, up-to-date, and compliant information for client recommendations.
  • Report Review: Review and approve financial planning reports to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Compliance and Quality Control: Act as the key liaison for regulatory compliance within the paraplanning function, ensuring the team adheres to all industry guidelines and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with financial advisers, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and positive client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Paraplanner within the financial services sector, with at least 2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or mentoring role.
  • Qualifications: Diploma in Financial Planning is essential. Candidates who are working towards Chartered status will be at an advantage.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team, ensuring productivity and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of financial planning, investment products, pensions, and tax-efficient strategies. Proficiency with financial planning software is essential.
