Blakemore Recruitment are proudly assisting an award-winning, well respected and long established wealth management firm recruit for a diploma qualified Paraplanner with 5 years+ experience to join their expanding team. This role offers hybrid working

They provide a wide range of services to their clients such as financial planning, pension planning, investment advice, inheritance tax planning, protection planning and corporate planning.

You will be working among a friendly team that continue to strive to be among the best advisers and support staff in the industry.

This role is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner. This is a challenging role where the company will provide the successful candidate with the required training to further their career. Our client is seeking a long-term commitment from an individual who will hopefully grow and develop in the role over a number of years. There will be ample opportunity to become a Senior Paraplanner or a Financial Planner within the company, depending on the career path they wish to pursue in the fullness of time.

Do you have the following experience?

  • It is essential to have at least 5 years’ experience in a Paraplanning role.
  • Solid generalist experience within the Financial Services sector.
  • Good understanding of compliance issues and maintenance of client files and confidentiality.
  • A good working knowledge of appropriate systems e.g. icrosoft Office suite, Cashflow modelling tools, etc.
  • Numerate and familiar with operating and creating spreadsheets.
  • Comfortable in crafting detailed letters and comprehensive bespoke report.

Key elements of the role:

  • To attend client meetings with the Financial Planner to take detailed notes of the meeting;
  • Transpose the meeting notes into the Factfind and Investment Risk Discussion document for submission;
  • To assist the Financial Planner in formulating the advice to the client, taking instructions for research and/or document the advice to provided to the Paraplanner;
  • Review client objectives ensuring they are clear, concise and achievable when compared against the client’s financial circumstance.
  • Respond to client emails by analysing and researching the technical questions and creating the appropriate response for the client or FP Director

Professional experience

Essential (technical):

  • Chartered status (or very close to achieving).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a paraplanning capacity as a minimum.
  • Good academic qualifications in an analytical discipline.

Essential (non-technical)

  • Good written English.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Well organised and accurate.
  • High standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
