Senior / Technical ParaplannerOur client is a leading established and prestigious Wealth Management firm that is an industry thought leader and a regular commentator across all media. There team of experts throughout all departments and teams are the pinnacle of excellence and they now seek their next talented Paraplanner to join the team Purpose The Senior Paraplanner will provide support to their assigned Financial Advisers. This role requires close collaboration the Advisers to develop and maintain detailed financial plans, conduct thorough research, analyse complex data, and prepare comprehensive reports as well as technical administration. The role is client-facing, involving direct interaction with existing clients to provide comprehensive paraplanning support. You will be assigned specific Financial Advisers to assist, fostering strong relationships and delivering personalised client service on behalf of the firm.Responsibilities
  • Assist Financial Advisers in managing clients' planning needs and solutions, including assessing and researching options and solutions.
  • Be an additional point of contact when the Advisers are not available and develop relationships of trust with the clients, manage all client-related enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Draft and present detailed financial reports, including suitability letters, transfer recommendations, and product illustrations.
  • Handle other administrative duties promptly. This would include letters, new client take-on forms, preparation of advisory correspondence / annual reviews and assisting with proposal preparation.
  • Deal with insurance / investment companies, as required, to obtain client policy information or new illustrations and product information.
  • Check that new business and client files / records are compliant and in line with company procedures.
  • Support the training and development of other paraplanners, sharing expertise and leading training sessions as required.
  • Act as an Investment Specialist or Pension Specialist, providing advanced technical support and insights in these areas.
Knowledge
  • 3+ years post qualified relevant experience.
  • Strong all round technical knowledge of financial planning principles, investment products, pension transfers and taxation and client suitability.
  • Understanding of FCA regulations and compliance related to financial advice.
  • Proficiency in drafting and presenting detailed financial reports.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain and update your knowledge through continual professional development (CPD) and examinations, where suitable.
Qualifications
  • A University degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or CISI Investment Advice Diploma.
  • Adhere to the T&C scheme to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities and proficiency at multitasking.
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to analyse financial data and provide insights.
  • Meticulous when it comes to attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic team environment.
  • Professional, presentable and motivated self-starter.
  • It is a requirement to undergo an initial Fit and Proper (F&P) assessment before performing the role independently, and annual Fit & Proper Assessments will be required to ensure you remain F&P to carry out the functions of this role.
  • Hybrid Working - requirement to be in the office 3 days a week.
