Senior Paraplanner. Are you a highly technical Senior Paraplanner, level 6 qualified (Chartered) with experience of working on complex Financial Planning cases for HNW and UHNW clients? The Role: Working closely with the Director of Growth, Head of Client Outcomes and Client Outcomes Managers to deliver the best service to clients within the First Wealth Private Office and Core proposition, you will have the ability to work independently while contributing to overall success of the team. You will utilise your high level of technical expertise and meticulous attention to detail to develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to the clients’ needs, staying ahead of market developments, identifying optimal, innovative opportunities to further enhance the client experience, while working with senior managers to create a joined-up, high-quality service proposition.
We are looking for a career Paraplanner, who loves highly technical work, not a Paraplanner who is keen to move into advising,
Salary and Benefits: Basic salary up to £75,000 (dependant on experience) + an exceptional benefits package including 8% pension, profit share, income protection benefit, 5 x salary death in service, up to 30 days holiday (increasing with length of service, plus the option to buy/sell holiday) + 8 days bank holiday + hybrid working + well-being benefit + option for paid sabbatical after 5 years’ service etc.

Senior Paraplanner, Key Responsibilities:
- Financial analysis and research - Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of financial products, investment opportunities, retirement plans, estate planning, and risk management solutions. Collaborate closely with the Director to evaluate and recommend suitable financial strategies that align with the clients’ needs and objectives. Monitor and review client portfolios, identifying opportunities for optimisation and presenting recommendations based on market trends and performance analysis.
- Relationship Management - Develop relationships with clients, providing ongoing support throughout their financial journey, focusing on client outcomes and servicing, striving for excellence and always looking for ways to improve relationships and service standards, collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless alignment of strategies and client satisfaction.
- Technical Support and Compliance - As the technical expert in the team, provide technical support to the Director, offering guidance, clarifying complex concepts, and assisting in the implementation of financial strategies. Stay informed about regulatory frameworks, legislation, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Report Preparation and Documentation - Prepare accurate and detailed financial reports, including investment summaries, cash flow projections, retirement plans, estate plans, and risk assessments, tailored to meet the client’s requirements. Ensure all reports adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal standards and maintain organised and up-to-date client records.
- Continuous Professional Development - Stay informed of emerging trends, industry advancements, and technological innovations related to financial planning for high-net-worth individuals, honing your knowledge and experience to service the initial and ongoing requirements of HNW and UHNW clients and to deliver excellent client outcomes.
Senior Paraplanner, Requirements:
- Diploma qualified (DipPFS or equivalent) and Chartered.
- 5 years’ + Paraplanning experience, with experience of developing bespoke financial options and solutions for HNW and UHNW clients
- Highly competent in all areas of financial planning including cashflow modelling, pensions, tax planning, investments including EIS, SEIS, VCT and BPR structured products, alternative investing, protection planning etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A self-starter, with the ability to work independently while contributing to the success of the team.
- Excellent time management with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail with a high level of numeracy and excellent IT skills
