Our client is a fast-growing fintech aiming to revolutionize the way financial advice is delivered in the UK. We are seeking a highly qualified, technical Paraplanner / Financial Planner to join their growing team.

About the Role:

This role is an integral part of the specialist planning team and goes beyond traditional paraplanning as you will own the end-to-end advice process, make recommendations, and curate financial plans for our customers.

Though non-client facing, you will be deeply involved in financial planning, ensuring the advice provided is not only technically sound but also tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality financial advice for clients
  • Act as the technical expert on all aspects of financial planning
  • Conduct cashflow modelling and analysis of clients’ existing products and investments
  • Own individual planning projects requiring technical expertise
  • Maintain the highest standards of advice for customers
  • Design and refine internal processes and ways of working
  • Collaborate with the tech team to remove admin bottlenecks and drive efficiency
  • Train, support, and manage junior colleagues and admin staff

Key Requirements:

  • Client-Centric: Ability to build strong relationships, attention to detail, and simplify complex financial concepts for clients
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-growing startup, with innovative thinking and determination to succeed
  • Comfortable with Technology: An open mind to learn new tools and approaches as we leverage technology in our client journeys
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit, innovative team
  • Integrity: Handling highly confidential and personal data with the utmost respect and professionalism
  • Qualified: Chartered or near Chartered (1-2 exams remaining), with around 5 years of experience preparing advice across a wide range of financial topics

It would be great, but not essential, if you had:

  • STEP qualifications
  • Experience with pension transfers (DB pensions)
