Trainee Broker for Financial Adviser - Commission only

Company Overview: Thornton & Baines Legal Ltd, a reputable and long-standing legal practice with over 20 years of industry experience, is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team on a self-employed commission only basis. We are partnered with our sister company, Thornton & Baines IFA Ltd, which are Independent Financial advisers who have over £125 million in funds under management. Role Overview: As a Broker with Thornton & Baines Legal you will be responsible for generating meetings from our vast database of leads. Initially you be trained to provide exceptional legal advice to clients. With this, you will be trained in how to implement tried and tested sales techniques. Prior experience is beneficial but is not imperative. Our rigorous training programme is designed to take you from entry-level to a fully-fledged estate planner. This opportunity offers a unique fast-tracked pathway to becoming an Independent Financial Adviser with our sister company. The role is predominantly office-based, situated in one of our offices in The City of London.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide expert legal advice on areas such; Will writing, Trust planning and Lasting Power of Attorney.  

• Engage with leads and convert them into clients. 

• Make financial referrals where necessary to our sister company Thornton & Baines Independent Financial Advisers Ltd. 

• To obtain expert knowledge on all areas of estate planning, further reading is incumbent to the role.  

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct. 

Requirements: 

• Develop legal and financial knowledge in the pursuit of obtaining a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS). 

• Demonstrate and deliver exceptional estate planning advice.  

• Ensure documentation is completed and recorded correctly.   

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. 

• Self-motivated and driven, with the capability to work independently within a team environment.

Projected Pay: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
