A leading financial services firm is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Wealth Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Wealth Planning and will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning advice to clients, with a strong focus on retirement and estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver superior Wealth Planning advice to clients.
  • Exceed client expectations with professional and capable advice and service.
  • Collaborate effectively with Investment Managers to identify opportunities and grow the business.
  • Communicate and present effectively to clients and colleagues.
  • Delegate workflow efficiently to the Wealth Planning administrator.
  • Manage cases using a financial planning Client Relationship Management system.
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance services and client propositions.
  • Maintain a thorough technical knowledge and stay updated with industry developments.
  • Demonstrate quick thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Ideally educated to Degree level (2:1 or above).
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a financial planner in the Financial Services industry.
  • Proven track record in delivering regulated financial advice to High Net Worth clients.
  • Financial planning qualifications essential (Chartered Financial Planner or working towards).
  • Advanced Chartered Institute of Insurance pension qualifications such as AF3 Pension Planning.
  • Holder of/Eligible for a Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) with a commitment to ongoing compliance including meeting annual CPD requirements.
  • GCSE Maths and English Language (grade C or above essential).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, especially Excel, and financial planning Client Relationship Management and Quotation software.
  • Client-centric approach with a combination of commercial focus and sound technical knowledge.
  • Energetic and proactive with a desire to contribute and get involved.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional attitude with a willingness to be part of a new team and to encourage/mentor others.
