Debt Recovery ManagerLocation: LondonTSR Legal are proud to be working with a fast-growing, progressive, and technologically advanced law firm in London, seeking to expand their debt recovery offering. The firm collaborates with a wide range of clients, including debt collection companies, SMEs, financial institutions, and insolvency practitioners, leading to a significant influx of debt recovery work. Role Overview:As the Debt Recovery Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the existing team, with a focus on people and system development, legal and technical compliance, quality control, and strategy implementation. You will oversee operational improvements, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. With support from the board and litigation teams, you will work to deliver top-tier service to clients while nurturing existing relationships and ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced debt recovery professional to shape and grow the firms debt recovery service. Key Responsibilities:* Manage a caseload of multi-track, fast-track, and small-track recovery cases, including insolvency-based cases when required.* Supervise and train existing team members, ensuring continuous development.* Lead recruitment and onboarding of new team members to expand the debt recovery team.* Develop and refine the debt recovery case management system and integrate it with client platforms and third-party providers.* Oversee sales ledger collection and volume-based debt recovery processes.* Supervise credit control processes and ensure alignment with the firm's policies.* Handle in-house debt recovery cases through county courts and insolvency courts as necessary.* Manage billing for the debt recovery team, mid-month and at the end of each month. Requirements:* Proven leadership experience in debt recovery, with a successful track record of managing people, implementing strategies, and overseeing change management.* Strong knowledge of debt recovery processes, including litigation and non-litigation options, with a firm understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
