Overview:
As the Food & Beverage Supervisor at Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our diverse F&B outlets and event spaces. With a strong emphasis on exceptional guest service, attention to detail, and team leadership, you will contribute to maintaining the high standards expected at our luxury hotel. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bars, restaurants, and meeting spaces, ensuring an unforgettable experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Leadership:
- Supervise, lead, and motivate a team of F&B staff across multiple outlets, including our fine dining restaurant, casual dining areas, and event spaces.
- Ensure all staff receive ongoing training and development in line with the hotel's high service standards.
- Foster a positive working environment, providing regular feedback to staff to drive performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all team members comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in food preparation and service.
- Operations & Service:
- Oversee the daily operations of all F&B outlets, ensuring exceptional service quality, cleanliness, and a seamless guest experience.
- Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring all issues are resolved to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Assist in coordinating the service of meals and drinks in meetings, events, and banqueting spaces, ensuring impeccable service at all times.
- Assist in setting up, managing, and breaking down event spaces, liaising closely with the Events team for smooth event operations.
- Inventory & Stock Management:
- Assist in managing inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock for all outlets and events.
- Work with the purchasing department to ensure that stock is replenished as needed, maintaining an organised storage system.
- Conduct regular stock checks and ensure all stock is stored according to health and safety standards.
- Coordination with Other Departments:
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure the smooth running of operations and the timely delivery of orders.
- Liaise with the Events & Banqueting team to ensure smooth execution of all events, meetings, and conferences, delivering high-quality service.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to align on promotions, events, and special offers.
- Quality Control & Standards:
- Maintain the highest level of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service, ensuring they meet the luxury standards of the hotel.
- Carry out regular inspections of all F&B outlets to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and health & safety standards are met.
- Ensure adherence to all brand standards, delivering exceptional service on every occasion.
- Financial Management:
- Assist in controlling operational costs, helping to maintain profitability.
- Ensure effective rostering and cost control of staff to match business demand.
- Support the F&B Manager in generating revenue through upselling, promotions, and the development of new ideas for the outlets.
- Guest Satisfaction & Relationship Management:
- Be proactive in engaging with guests to ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Address and resolve guest concerns quickly and efficiently, ensuring satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain relationships with regular guests, offering personalised service and anticipating their needs.
- Implement guest feedback to improve and refine service delivery.
- Reporting & Administration:
- Assist with the preparation of reports on daily operations, staffing, stock levels, and guest feedback.
- Help in creating and managing staff rosters, ensuring optimal staffing levels for busy periods.
- Participate in departmental meetings, offering insights and suggestions for operational improvements.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in an F&B supervisory or managerial role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, train, and develop staff.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- A strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including quality control, cost management, and service excellence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
