Supplier Auditor

Overseas and Office 

Working on behalf of a business who only send out 'good news stories' within the industry.

They provide the highest quality food products to the retailers. With a focus on safety, sustainability, and innovation, they all pull together to ensure that the supply chain meets the highest standards. Due to the recent success they are looking for a dedicated Supplier Auditor/Food Safety Manager to join the team and help maintain the commitment to excellence. 

I'm looking for an experienced Supplier Auditor/BRC Auditor/Food Safety Manager to oversee and lead the quality and safety of supplier network (Plenty of over seas travel). The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining and developing strong relationships with their suppliers to uphold solid quality standards. 

Day to day will obviously vary but typically see you responsible for some of the below:

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of supplier facilities to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to promote continuous improvement.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and provide recommendations to enhance supplier performance.
  • Monitor and assess supplier compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address any supply chain issues and ensure product quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to food safety and quality. 

You'll need to come with some experience and a food related qualification or two. Something from the below would be a good place to start:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier auditing or quality assurance within the food industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to supplier locations.
  • Certification as a Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor
