We have a new and exciting vacancy for a forklift driver to join our clients busy and well-established business in Edmonton. Our client is one of Europe’s leading providers within their industry, operating across12 countries and supporting more than 2k blue chip and regional customers.
The role is a temporary to permanent role to start as soon as possible offering an hourly rate of £13.50 per hour. The working hours are 7am - 5pm Monday - Friday with a 1-hour lunch break. This role will be working within a fast-paced environment, working outdoors within a yard so candidates must be happy to work in all weathers.
About the role:
You will be required to report to the Yard Manager and have a crucial role in operating a forklift as well as sorting, repairing and handling items and meeting all health & safety/ compliance requirements in line with our client’s policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working hard and working in all weathers
- Ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods and materials.
- Optimising loads for operational efficiency.
- This is a very physical job so need tobe fit.
- Learning the different grade of items
- Making sure the quality is adhered to.
- General housekeeping
Person Specification:
- Experience using a forklift
- Highly motivated self-starter.
- Passionate about colleague safety and compliance.
- Be a champion of our values internally and externally.
- Comply with our health and safety policy, and those of our customers.
- Be proud to work in a clean yard/office environment
