Job Opportunity: Freight Coordinator  

Location: Chiswick, London

Are you passionate about logistics and customer service? We are looking for a dedicated Freight Coordinator to join our team and ensure operational excellence, high productivity, and customer satisfaction in our import and export services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multimodal transport operations (road, sea, air) for import, export, warehousing, and out-of-gauge cargo.
  • Accept and process orders, plan and schedule operations, and make service decisions.
  • Provide adhoc quotations to customers and manage urgent deliveries.
  • Follow up on cargo customs clearance and ensure timely delivery.
  • Open files, arrange pick-ups, and book direct/back-to-back shipments with carriers.
  • Handle exception management, customer inquiries, and operational job costing.
  • Notify customers of arrivals and coordinate transit shipment activities.
  • Receive customer instructions and cooperate with customs subcontractors.
  • Evaluate subcontractor capabilities and performance.
  • Maintain operational processes and ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Provide logistics support to sales and track & trace information.
  • Manage irregularities and assure temporary import/export file control.
  • Ensure the correct use of operation-enabling applications.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of forwarding and logistics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Preferable operational industry experience and international work experience.
  • Fluency in English.
