Role Overview:
A primary school in Camden is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their supportive team. The HLTA will assist teachers in delivering high-quality education and support to students across all primary year groups. This role is essential for covering teacher absences, leading small group interventions, and ensuring students receive the help they need to achieve their best.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Lead small group sessions and 1:1 interventions to support students' learning.
- Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring continuity in learning.
- Assist with the planning of educational activities and resources.
- Provide support for students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to student assessments and progress reports.
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in a primary school setting.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
- Experience with SEN students is desirable.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
