Are you an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher ready to inspire young minds in Barking and Dagenham? We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our mixed secondary school, where you will play a key role in engaging students with thought-provoking topics and fostering a love for Humanities and Geography.

As a Humanities Teacher, you will bring your subject expertise to the classroom, helping students build critical thinking and analytical skills across a range of Humanities topics. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a supportive, energetic school community and make a real impact on students’ educational journeys.

Humanities Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach Humanities, including Geography, to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning.
  • Collaborate with other Humanities department members to develop innovative resources.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support students' educational progress.
  • Participate in school meetings, events, and extracurricular activities.

Humanities Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Humanities Teacher, with the ability to teach Geography.
  • A strong knowledge of the Humanities curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students.
  • Passionate about education and committed to student success.
