About the Role - Nursery Class Teacher
As a Nursery Class Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment for children aged 3 to 4 years old. The school places a strong emphasis on play-based learning, language development, and the personal, social, and emotional growth of every child.
You'll work alongside a dedicated Early Years team to deliver lessons that reflect the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and ensure children get the best possible start to their education journey.
Responsibilities - Nursery Class Teacher
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a warm, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
- Monitor and assess children's progress through observations and learning journeys
- Collaborate with EYFS staff to support a rich and balanced provision
- Foster children's independence, creativity, and curiosity through both structured and free-flow learning
The Ideal Candidate - Nursery Class Teacher
The school is looking for a compassionate and proactive Nursery Class Teacher who is committed to early childhood development and has the ability to inspire young learners.
You will need:
- QTS or EYTS, with experience teaching in a Nursery or EYFS setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development milestones
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A nurturing and creative approach to teaching
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
