Primary School Teacher Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging Teaching: Plan and deliver high-quality, creative, and engaging lessons tailored to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, fostering a love of learning in young children.
  • Child Development: Support and monitor the developmental progress of each child, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
  • Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of students' progress, using both formative and summative assessment techniques, and maintain accurate records of their achievements.
  • Inclusive Environment: Create an inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and supported, differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Parental Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and involving them in their child's learning journey.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.

Primary School Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold QTS with experience in teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Early Years Experience: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and effective teaching strategies for young learners.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young children and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
