We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and reliable Special Educational Needs Teacher to join our growing school in Southwark, where we provide support to students aged 5-11 with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, including autism, ADHD, and emotional needs.

About our School
Our Mainstream school – situated on the edge of Southwark - has recently increased the capacity of our growing provision, which serves students with varying levels of SEN, offering a tailored approach to meet their individual needs. About the Role
The successful Special Educational Needs Teacher will be working with students who experience challenges with social interaction, communication, and emotional regulation, helping them to progress both academically and personally. The role will entail working in a small class of 8 pupils who are operating at a Pre-Key Stage level. Within each class, you will be supported by two Learning Support Assistants.

About You
We welcome applications qualified teachers, including ECTs, who have experience working with children or young people. Special school experience is advantageous but not essential – we are looking for candidates who have a passion for SEN and a willingness to learn. We are particularly looking for individuals who are positive, resilient, and solution-focused, with a strong commitment to children’s rights and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will possess some, or all of the below:

  • Must have full qualified teacher status – UK QTS
  • SEN Primary Teacher with UK School experience
  • A solid understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • A proven track record of delivering high quality lessons
  • Delivered high-quality education tailored to the needs of students with Autism
