We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Third in Charge to join our Nursery team in providing exceptional care and early childhood education to children in our nursery.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being in a nurturing environment. The role would suit someone who has previously worked as an Early Years Practitioner then Room Leader and looking for the next step up.
Job Title: Third in Charge Location: Muswell Hill Job Type: Full-time / Permanent Salary: £29,000 - £33,000 per annum
Main Duties
- Supporting the room leaders and practitioners to help manage their rooms and ensure the nursery standards are adhered to at all times
- Create an environment that supports the individual needs of all children
- Maintain systems to monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of our childcare practices.
- Maintain effective methods of communication with children, staff, parents, and carers.
- Maintain open and positive working relationships with staff.
- Ensure that practices and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Assist in agreeing and reviewing individual targets with staff.
- Assume playroom and additional management responsibilities when required.
- Keep costs in line with the agreed budgets.
Person Spec
- A minimum of a full and relevant level 3 childcare qualification
- The right to work in the UK
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- A Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Experience of observing, assessing and planning for children’s learning & development
