Assistant Back of House Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate AssistantBack of House Manager to join the Back of House team at The Berkeley.

As Assistant Back of House Manager, you will manage and co-ordinate all activities of the Back of House department including the day to day operations, acceptance of all deliveries, the co-ordination of all logistics taking place in and out of the building, store area control and stock management, supporting the departments with procurement of stock and equipment, and maintaining a secure and safe environment in the back of house areas according to health and safety standards.

Main responsibilities of the Assistant Back of House Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct regular stock takes of areas and report back to the Back of House Manager of any discrepancies and what follow up actions are requiredbythe Manager.
  • Support the management of thewaste and recycling for the property to ensure costs are kept to a minimum and in line with business and council demands.
  • Support the management of damage limitation of all goods entering and leaving the building. Notify the Back of House Manager and departments of any damage which has been caused and the related costs.
  • To deal with any pest control issues that come up and report these to the Security Manager and relevant HOD.
  • To monitor and supervise the agency supervisors closely and to manage the back of house rotas, timesheets and any other administrative responsibility delegated by the Back of House Manager or his superiors.
  • To maintain a good contract with suppliers and negotiate prices as well as maintenance contracts.
