We are recruiting for an Account Director to join a design-led, contemporary rug design business based in Chelsea. The company specialise in designing and manufacturing high-end rugs and carpets for interior designers and architects. They pride themselves on their forward thinking and innovative attitude, their collections respect tradition while utilising more experimental modern methods.

Due to their continued expansion, they are recruiting for an Account Director to manage and grow a portfolio of VIP interior design and architecture accounts. This is a senior role and they are looking for an accomplished sales professional who is well connected and has the experience of building and maintaining relationships with A&D / trade clients. We are also looking for someone who has experience of selling a high-end, customisable interiors product.

The role will involve working from the showroom and also visiting interior designers at their studios and offices to present the collections and to discuss their bespoke rug / carpet design requirements. This position will involve managing each rug project from inception until completion and sign off. There is a huge amount of creative involvement with each project so sales people with a strong creative edge will find this a rewarding opportunity. You will get to work on some prestigious projects including luxury residential, hospitality, private members clubs and superyachts.

As the company is fast growing, they can offer lots of scope for self-development and promotion. Therefore, the role suits an ambitious, self-motivated individual. Salary is by negotiation based on experience and commission starts at 4% on all sales and rises as sales increase easily adding £25,000 on top of basic. Monday to Friday, no weekends.
