We are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and vibrant independent school in the London Borough of Islington for an Admissions Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional, approachable, and dynamic individual to play a key role in the school's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for prospective parents and pupils, ensuring a warm, personalised admissions journey from initial enquiry to enrolment.
  • Manage all aspects of the admissions process, including tracking enquiries, scheduling tours, organising open days, and producing welcome packs.
  • Work closely with the Head, Marketing, and Office Manager to deliver a seamless admissions service that reflects the school's ethos and values.
  • Maintain and analyse admissions data using the school's CRM and MIS systems, reporting regularly to the Head and Governors.
  • Ensure effective communication with feeder nurseries, SENCo, and school staff to facilitate smooth transitions for new pupils.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing department to align admissions and marketing strategies, ensuring clear, consistent communication with prospective families.
  • Keep accurate records and class lists, managing waiting lists and inquiries from both local and international families.
  • Ensure that all admissions procedures are compliant with regulations and best practices.

About You:

  • Previous experience in an admissions or customer service role, ideally within an independent school setting.
  • A proactive and diplomatic approach, with the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high standard of literacy.
  • Experience using CRM and MIS systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A deep understanding of the independent school sector and a commitment to the school's ethos.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working alongside Marketing to align strategies and ensure cohesive communication.
  • Knowledge of the educational admissions process, especially in independent schools.
  • Familiarity with handling international inquiries and liaising with agents.
