Our client, a specialist Fine Art Galleries company based in London, is currently looking to recruit a Fine Art Technician to join their team based in London.As the Fine Art Technician, you will report directly to the Senior Technician and, under their guidance, be responsible for the movement, tracking and display of art works within the gallery and at external locations, using the Gallery’s inventory system.You will also be required to handle, pack/unpack, install and condition check art works of varied media at the client’s storage facilities, galleries, even client residences, art fairs and exhibitions.Duties of the Gallery Fine Art Technician: 

  • Supporting the Facilities Supervisor with the maintenance of exhibition areas.
  • Assisting with gallery opening and closing procedures on a rotating schedule.
  • Ensuring that client viewing areas, exhibition spaces, and storage areas are consistently kept tidy and presentable.
  • Providing art handling support for photography shoots both at the gallery and offsite.
  • Completing various ad hoc tasks and managing general record-keeping responsibilities as required.

 To be a successful Fine Art Technician, you will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the manual handling and installation of artworks in a range of media.Experience required for the Gallery Fine Art Technician: 

  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
  • Ideally some experience with Salesforce or similar systems is highly desirable.
  • Able to represent the gallery effectively. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive with a strong willingness to learn.
