AV Project Manager

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Bonuses

About the Company

A leading provider of AV, sound, and lighting solutions within the hospitality and leisure sectors. They specialise in delivering high-quality background music systems, DMX lighting and audio visual installations for bars, restaurants, gyms, pubs and houses of worship.

Role Overview

You will manage the full project lifecycle from client meetings and system design to overseeing the installation, commissioning and project handover of high-end AV solutions within various environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AV and be able to propose, specify, and manage the installation of AV solutions.

This is a field-based role with regular travel across the South of England and other areas of the UK where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end project management of AV installations within bars, restaurants, gyms, and hospitality venues
  • Meeting with clients to understand their needs and propose solutions
  • Convert initial client meetings into sales
  • Producing design drawings using AutoCAD or Stardraw
  • Specifying and quoting AV systems consisting of audio, lighting, and video solutions
  • Managing installation teams (in-house and subcontractors)
  • Overseeing technical aspects of the project, including rack-building and system commissioning
  • Coordinating logistics for materials, scheduling engineers, and ensuring project deadlines are met
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients, updating on project progress
  • Managing project budgets ranging anything between £8K up to £1M
  • Typically managing roughly 5 projects at a time
  • Conducting site surveys and risk assessments
  • Maintaining track of budgets, aiming to maximise profitability on each project
  • Attending fortnightly team meetings in the office

Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience managing AV installation projects (hospitality or leisure sector preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge of AV, lighting, and background music systems
  • Ability to design AV solutions using AutoCAD or Stardraw
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to work with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Self motivated with the ability to work to your own initiative
  • Full UK Driving License

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of audio and lighting systems such as BSS, Symetrix, Powersoft, Madrix, Showcad, Avolites, Chamsys

Package

  • Salary between £50K - £65K DOE
  • Annual bonus at manager’s discretion (typically 10% - 20% of salary)
