We are delighted to be working with this renowned magic circle law firm in London, who have a reputation for excellence and a culture that is collaborative and high performing, in their search for an experienced Business Development Manager to work with their Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources group, who are ambitious and rapidly growing.

Reporting into a supportive Senior Manager, with line management responsibility for a BD Executive, this role would be ideal for an established BD Manager, with experience in the legal sector, who is looking to support a group of ambitious, highly engaged stakeholders in growth mode. The role offers lots of autonomy and the opportunity to be proactive, creative and add real value.

The remit of this BD Manager role is varied and will include:

  • Working as the BD lead for the group, collaborating closely with partners to set and execute the BD strategy and initiatives.
  • Driving new client acquisition plans, including opportunity spotting and client targeting initiatives.
  • Project management (with the support of the specialist bid team) of bid opportunities, ensuring a tailored approach.
  • Developing and implementing a multi-channel marketing communications plan.
  • Supporting stakeholders with client relationship development.
  • Coaching and mentoring associates to develop BD skills and best practice.
  • Leading client and sector research.
  • Supporting ad-hoc marketing and BD projects and initiatives.

The successful candidate for this BD manager role will possess:

  • Strong BD and marketing experience gained in a law firm environment.
  • Experience of, or an interest in the energy and infrastructure sector.
  • Proactive, results driven approach.
  • Demonstrable track record of client development initiatives.
  • Strong communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of people management.
