Behaviour Mentor

A vibrant primary school in Deptford is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join their SEN Unit, working with primary-aged children across mixed age groups. This specialised role focuses on supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and helping them regulate emotions, build confidence, and thrive in their learning environment.

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with Autism, focusing on behaviour management and emotional regulation.
• Develop positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and build trust.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN professionals to implement behaviour plans tailored to each child's needs.
• Offer a nurturing and patient approach to help pupils overcome challenges and succeed academically and socially.

• Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role within an SEN setting.
• Confident and skilled in managing behaviours associated with Autism and high emotional needs.
• A calm, empathetic individual who can create a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS or is open to processing one through Reeson Education.
