About the RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural challenges. Your key responsibilities include:
- Providing Individual Support: Offering one-on-one assistance in classrooms to help students stay engaged.
- Promoting Positive Behaviour: Maintaining a visible presence around the school and encouraging a productive learning environment.
- Managing Incidents: De-escalating situations and teaching students self-regulation techniques.
- Supporting Independent Study: Supervising students in the isolation room to ensure they stay on-task.
- Overseeing Detentions: Managing and supervising detention sessions.
This full-time, term-time-only role runs until July 2025, with the potential to become a permanent position.
About YouWe're looking for candidates who:
- Have Relevant Experience: Prior experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar school-based role is essential.
- Are Confident and Compassionate: Display strong boundary-setting skills while offering empathetic support.
- Are Organised: Possess excellent administrative abilities; familiarity with SIMS is a bonus.
- Are Reliable and Caring: Provide consistent support to create stability for students.
- Are Active and Engaged: Be prepared for a physically active role, patrolling corridors and responding to student needs throughout the day.
