About the Role:

As the Bid Manager, you will be at the heart of our client's growth strategy, ensuring effective communication between the organisation and its clients. You'll play a pivotal role in generating project leads that align with the company's workload and growth targets. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Alignment: Review the business plan and identify new markets and opportunities that resonate with the directors' vision.
  • Target Setting: Hold weekly marketing meetings with the MD and Director to agree on client targeting strategies.
  • Client Tracking: Maintain an up-to-date client tracker detailing all contacts, actions, and notes for future project opportunities.
  • Client Engagement: Meet clients to gather insights that will assist in securing projects and programming future pipeline opportunities.
  • Project Communication: Ensure seamless communication with key clients from project inception to completion, providing valuable feedback on completed projects for continual improvement.
  • Cross-Department Liaison: Collaborate with Heads of Departments (HODs) and the estimating team to align project targets with operational needs.
  • Tender Assistance: Support the estimating team in producing high-quality tender deliverables such as presentations, organograms, project methodologies, and sustainability questionnaires.
  • Case Study Management: Regularly review and update current case studies to reflect the organisation's achievements.
  • Market Research: Assess marketing software and target frameworks, completing expressions of interest and OJEC notices.
  • Marketing Support: Provide technical information for marketing materials, including case studies, CVs, and social media content.
  • Sustainability Goals: Assist in the organisation's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
  • PQQ Support: Collaborate with directors and the office manager to complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs).
  • Cost Planning: Help the estimating department produce high-level cost plans and detailed cost information from recent projects.
  • Safety Compliance: Understand and ensure adherence to the organisation's Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) plans.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • MS Office Skills essential
  • A proactive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with a knack for strategic thinking.
  • Experienced in bid management and client engagement.
  • Knowledgeable in sustainability practises and project management.
  • Ideally a research degree or equivalent
