THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive and result-driven individual with experience as a Public Sector Bid Manager to lead and manage the bid process for our client’s public sector contracts. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in securing new business opportunities by producing high-quality, winning proposals aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the entire bid process, from the pre- qualification questionnaire to the final tender submission.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the bid is delivered on time and to an exceptional standard.
  • Write, edit, and review bid documents, ensuring accuracy and maximum persuasiveness.
  • Analyse documents, identifying requirements, and form tailored, compliant and convincing responses, reflecting specific needs of the client.
  • Work closely with appropriate internal teams, gathering all required information whilst ensuring alignment and cohesion.
  • Continuously ensure legal, regulatory, and organisational compliance, and manage risks/escalate issues where necessary.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the client during the bid process and ensuring effective and clear communication between teams.
  • Maintain and develop bid libraries, templates, and tools to ensure smooth future bid processes.
  • Conduct post-bid reviews to identify and implement improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with procurement regulations and frameworks, and monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategies.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in managing successful bids within the Public Sector.
  • Solid experience working within Public Sector frameworks and procurement processes, with a strong understanding of regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across multiple diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bid Management tools.
  • Degree or substantial experience in business, marketing, communications or a related field.
