  • Our client is a leading software and services company in the utility sector, seeking a Billing Payments Analyst with experience in the energy market, particularly in payments and billing for industrial and commercial suppliers. The role offers an opportunity for candidates with relevant experience or those looking to transition into business analysis, as training will be provided. Key responsibilities include producing user stories, analyzing business processes, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining documentation. Candidates should have experience in the energy or finance sector related to payment management, along with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. The position is fully remote, with a salary of up to £60K plus benefits, and requires relevant experience in the field.

Our client is a market-leading software & services company serving clients in the utility sector from new entrants to large suppliers. The team supporting CRM / Billing system is growing and we are looking for passionate, driven, and talented people to join us. We are looking for either an energy Business Analyst with Payments Billing experience gathered in an I&C supplier in the UK market OR someone with direct experience of Payments & allocations specifically gained within an I&C supplier maybe looking for a career change. Key responsibilities:

  • Produce requirements in the form of user stories for use by developers and test analysts
  • Analyse and understand the business processes and workflows related to payments
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and deliver solutions
  • Develop and maintain documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals.
  • To provide interpretation of industry compliance requirements.
  • Provide expertise/support to internal teams and external clients using the software solutions.
  • Interpret complex business requirements into understandable requirements for the teams.
  • Manage/prioritise requirements against industry, customer & internal expectations/deadlines
  • Work with the software team to resolve issues with conflicting functionality and timelines.
  • To create and maintain product guides and user documentation.
  • On some occasions, to provide training to colleagues and clients on system changes.

Skills & experience required:

  • Experience within the energy or finance sector regarding payment and/or debt management.
  • Ideally some business analysis skills plus good inter-personal skills and a team player.
  • Good problem-solving techniques, and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working directly with developers and test analysts on product development.
  • Ideally experience regarding dataflows and supplier management.
  • Experience using and/or designing CRM functions - useful.
  • Experience using agile and formal BA methodologies - useful.
