About the RoleAre you a skilled professional passionate about financial systems optimisation? We’re looking for an experienced Blackline Specialist to lead a pivotal project. This is an opportunity to assess and enhance the utilisation of the Blackline platform, driving efficiency and effectiveness across key business processes.

As the Project Lead, you will work closely with finance, IT, and other stakeholders to maximise the platform's value, identify areas for improvement, and deliver actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management:

  • Plan, manage, and execute the Blackline utilisation assessment project within set timelines and budgets.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in line with organisational goals.
  • Establish success metrics for Blackline adoption in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Platform Analysis and Integration:

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of Blackline usage across departments.
  • Evaluate how well Blackline features align with financial processes such as reconciliations and reporting.
  • Identify inefficiencies or underutilised functionalities and propose solutions.
  • Address integration requirements and challenges between Blackline and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Recommendations:

  • Partner with finance, accounting, and IT teams to understand workflows and identify pain points.
  • Present findings, data-driven insights, and actionable roadmaps for optimising platform adoption.
  • Propose training programs and automation opportunities to enhance user proficiency.
  • Implementation and Reporting:

  • Support implementation of recommended changes to workflows or configurations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation outlining findings, changes, and expected outcomes.
  • Measure and monitor the impact of implemented improvements.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience with the Blackline platform, including setup, configuration, and optimisation.
  • Familiarity with SAP or S/4HANA integrations and implementation projects.
  • Proven ability to lead platform utilisation or optimisation initiatives.
  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in Blackline modules (Account Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Task Management, Matching).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred Certifications:

  • Blackline Administrator Certification.
  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
