Location – Forrest Hill, London

Salary – £45,000 - - £50,000 Per Annum

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a BMS Engineer to join their team.

This role will entail taking on full management responsibilities of bespoke BMS projects (with a wide range of values). You will be required to manage projects from point of sale through to hand-over, taking on technical design responsibilities, producing description of operations and progress reports, whilst liaising with clients and other key stake holders. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget whilst maintaining quality.

This role will have an office base in Forrest Hill, however, majority of the work will be within M25 locations with the occasional job branching outside of the M25.

My client is a property maintenance and installation organisation, the mechanical arm specialises in the servicing, repair and installation of gas central heating and hot water services to local authority and Housing Association landlords.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working to Customer specification`s (e.g. to Local Authority & Housing Association spec.).
  • Plant room surveys.
  • On site panel modifications, including panel testing (on and off site).
  • BMS system design.
  • Point to Point testing and commissioning.
  • Trend “963 Head End” and/or “IQ Vision” Install, Set-up, graphic installs and Commissioning.
  • Demonstration & witnessing (on and off site) of BMS system and operations to clients, consultants, subcontractors, etc.
  • Remote assistance and control of BMS system.
  • Fault finding and problem solving.
  • Maintaining and updating Job Reports.
  • General daily tasks including (callouts, breakdowns, remote access and system design/information).
  • Understanding Networking - Ethernet, LAN, LON, BACnet, M-Bus, Modbus.
  • Working knowledge of heating system configurations (HWS & heating pipework configurations including LTHW and MTHW, underfloor heating.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Qualified Electrician.
  • 963 Operators, 963 Engineering.
  • System Engineering, IQ Engineering.
  • Strategy Design.
  • Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training.
  • Previous experience of delivering high value BMS Projects within budget.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Building Management Systems.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work alone and within a team.

Desirable:

  • BACnet Network engineering.
  • SET Comms.
  • TONN/ES (Trend to Honeywell Interfacing).
  • CSCS Registered.
  • Certificate of Training Achievement for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid, or other.
  • Understanding of integration protocols.
