C#. Net Developer - AVP - C#, .net, WPF, Oracle (Risk or Quant)

6 Month Contract

£400 PD Inside IR35, VIA Umbrella

Based in London, 3 Days a week onsite

Development and support of BI Business applications using MS .Net platform with C#.

Main Duties:

  • Tasks include understanding business requirements, designing applications, business data analysis, programming in Visual C#.NET WPF using both Oracle and SQL Server database, Unit testing, Quality Assurance (QA), Implementation, Production and Disaster Recovery environments supporting users and preparing documents.

  • Along with the application development, this role will also include supporting the existing C# and .NET applications. General IT Support to maintain environments where applications are running will be also essential. This will be achieved by working together with the BI IT department.

  • This role also requires following the Development Teams "Change Management Control procedures" to get proper and appropriate approvals prior to production updates.

Other tasks:

  • Defining database objects required in the systems. Interactions with the SQL and Oracle Database Administrators in both London and New York.

  • Providing script for database enquiry languages, i.e., T-SQL (SQL Server)

Knowledge needed:

Essential

  • Understanding of MS .NET Framework environments.

  • Understanding of Object Orientated programming concepts.

  • Quality-orientated and self-motivated.

Desirable

  • Web application development skills.

  • DevOp

  • Operating system installation/version skills at a high level.

  • IIS configuration tuning skills

  • Network configuration skills.

Experience needed:

  • Proven experience in C# & .NET development.

  • Good experience of Windows application development. (WPF)

  • Exposure to development within C# or other development technologies

  • Experience and knowledge of Agile delivery

  • Experience with CI and Automation tools
