Operational Skills

Necessary Operational Skills:

Job Knowledge, Technical Knowledge, Expertise, Customer Service, Health and Hygiene Standards and High Work Standards

Duties:

Ensure all counters, fridges and tables are prepared to the highest standard ready for service

To ensure Licensing Laws are adhered to

Ensure constant replenishment of counters and fridges throughout service

Ensure food is presented in an attractive manner throughout service

Ensure service temperature checks are undertaken and recorded

Ensure samples of high-risk foods are taken

Check cleaning schedules are followed, and chemicals used in accordance to C.O.S.H.H. regulations

Assist in cashing up and the collection of statistics

Ensure health and hygiene regulations are followed at all times

Ensure all accidents or near accidents are reported to the unit manager and documented

Ensure all equipment faults are reported immediately to the manager

Ensure queues are kept to a minimum

Ensure the ordering of any stock, which maybe required, while keeping stock levels to a minimum

Carry out any other reasonable requests of management

Interpersonal Skills

Necessary Interpersonal Skills:

Effective Communicator; Verbal (Speech) and Non-Verbal (Listening), Team Worker, Team Builder, Work Standards, Customer Care, Personal Hygiene and Flexibility

Duties:

Ensure the highest standard of customer care is used at all times

Resolve any conflicting staff issues

Ensure all complaints and compliments are passed on to the manager immediately

Managerial Skills

Necessary Managerial Skills:

Leadership, Delegation, Achievement Orientated, Motivated, Staff Development Focus, Analysis and Problem Solving, Planning and Organising, Decisiveness and Judgement

Duties:

Ensure that staff are able to relate to current policies and procedures to ensure quality service and ownership of tasks

Ensure that staff are committed to their job roles to provide a consistent high-quality service

To assist with the development of company and self to ensure continuous pro-active progression

Ideal Candidate:

  • bar experience
  • Wine bar experience
  • Members club experience
  • must have a sense of ownership
  • High level standards
  • Good knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine (mixologist or sommelier)

Working Pattern:

  • 5 out of 7 days
  • weekdays 2pm - 11pm
  • Weekend -12pm -8pm
