We are a vibrant Persian café known for our authentic Persian cuisine and warm hospitality. We are passionate about delivering a rich culinary experience inspired by traditional Persian flavors. As we expand our team, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Chef to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the art of Persian cooking, baking and developing your culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of dishes, including appetisers, main courses, and desserts( backing ).
Learn and apply traditional cooking techniques, including the use of herbs and spices like saffron, sumac, and pomegranate.
Help with chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes following recipes.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring food preparation areas are clean and meet health and safety standards.
Assist with inventory management, ensuring ingredients are properly stored and stock levels are maintained.
Follow instructions from senior chefs and actively participate in the kitchens daily operations.
Ensure all food items are properly cooked and plated to maintain the cafés high-quality standards.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of traditional cuisine.
Qualifications:
Passionate about cooking and interested in traditional and innovative cuisines.
Some experience in a kitchen environment is a plus, but not required.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
