Educated Appointments are delighted to be working with a training provider within the early years sector to recruit a Childcare Assessor in London to support Level 3 Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship programmes.
The organisation work in partnership with employers and further education colleges to provide relevant and valuable training to develop the future generation of early years professionals.
The role is a hybrid position, based from home with travel to and from learners undergoing their apprenticeships in settings across London. Expenses are covered for travel. The organisation offer a blended delivery model with remote and face to face sessions for their learners.
The Assessor has the main responsibility for the delivery of high-quality training and assessments in an agreed time scale to nationally recognised standards. They will be responsible for monitoring Apprentice learning and progress throughout the programme and reporting progress in the agreed format, meeting agreed reporting deadlines.
Main Responsibilities
People:
- To deliver classroom-based and workshop sessions to Apprentices.
- To ensure each group is following the agreed program and schedule.
- To actively support fellow members within your team
- To report Apprentice issues to the Curriculum Manager
- To address any unwanted behaviours and classroom management issues following the agreed procedures
- To mentor Apprentices to achieve and learn professional skills required for the workplace
- To mark all Apprentice assessments and feedback to the individuals
- To continually review and develop support resources for Apprentices.
- To ensure your own skill sets are kept up to date and relevant.
- To promote an open safeguarding culture, where the protection of Learners is at the forefront.
- To be vigilant in your response and reporting of safeguarding concerns and disclosures
Quality:
- To monitor the progress of the Apprentices allotted to you
- To ensure necessary assessment of Apprentices and reporting of any issues to the IQA Manager
- To ensure Apprentice registers are taken daily and any absence reported to the Learner Support Manager
- To maintain appropriate tracking systems and procedures relating to quality, compliance, management, delivery and assessment
- To ensure your compliance with business systems and procedures
- To carry out Apprentice reviews as required
- To attend all meetings and workshops as necessary to carry out your role effectively.
- To work within and acknowledge all Health and Safety procedures relevant to the Academy and continually re-enforce to Apprentices.
- To adhere to Equality and Diversity procedures and re-enforce to Apprentices.
Contracts:
- To maintain 85% retention and completion of Apprentices
- To ensure relevant paperwork is used correctly at all times.
- To ensure that the whole assessment process is followed and that Apprentice portfolios are complete and up to date.
- To ensure that all the compliance and process requirements relevant to your role of funding partners are met in full.
- Remain up to date with any changes with the framework, qualification and assessment processes.
