The Role
Our client, are a well-established consultancy in the construction industry, is seeking a Clerk of Works to join their team. You will be crucial in ensuring construction projects meet the highest quality standards, align with design specifications, and adhere to all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of works on-site, ensuring compliance with contract drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Review project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and bills of quantities.
- Ensure all works adhere to Health & Safety plans, British Standards, and Approved Codes of Conduct.
- Establish and maintain strong communication with project teams, including the Employer's Agent, Quantity Surveyor, Architects, and Contractors.
- Provide expert advice on materials, construction details, and sample approvals.
- Keep clear, detailed records and produce professional reports on site findings.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications - A member of the Institute of Clerk of Works or equivalent.
- Experience - Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in construction site monitoring.
- Technical Knowledge - Strong understanding of construction methods, quality assurance processes, and relevant industry standards.
