THE ROLE:

Using a strategic and consultative approach, your main focus will be to nurture and manage key accounts, growing their spend with the business, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction to ensure retention. It is essential this candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage and develop a portfolio of high-value clients.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key-decision makers and stakeholders within your client base, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Act as a trusted advisor / consultant to clients; conducting regular service meetings, understand customer needs and challenges, and propose bespoke solutions that align with their goals.
  • Develop & implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities alongside driving sales growth within existing client base.
  • Lead negotiations and contract renewals with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for both parties.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure client needs are met, feeding back insights to improve product/service offering and customer experience.
  • Ensure all sales activity and account information is consistently and accurately recorded with thin the internal CRM system.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, client feedback, and pipeline status to present to senior leadership team, alongside utilising this data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market updates, and competitor activity, and leverage this insight to improve sales strategies and customer experience.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years’ experience, previous experience as a Key Account Manager / Client Director (or similar) is essential.
  • Experience working with Enterprise clients is preferred.
  • Previous experience within the Technology/IT sector would be highly beneficial.
  • Highly organised & excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Customer-focussed with a natural ability to influence key-stakeholders, and proven experience in confidently negotiating and presenting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite, and CRM software.
