About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Project Manager to join our dynamic Commissioning department within the Children's Services Directorate. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective commissioning of services that support the mental health, speech and language, and occupational therapy needs of children within our community.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct thorough reviews of services commissioned under section 75 agreements, paying particular attention to mental health and speech & language services.

* Utilise project management tools and methodologies and collaborate with stakeholders across Local Authority and Integrated Care Board (ICB) to identify service requirements.

* Generate reports and recommendations based on your findings to drive service improvement

* Lead and manage commissioning projects and service reviews from inception to completion.

* Further develop and implement commissioning strategies for mental health, speech and language, and occupational therapy provisions.

* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of commissioned services, ensuring they meet the needs of children and young people.

* Provide expert advice and guidance on commissioning best practices and policies through the service and wider directorate.

* Ensure that commissioned services are needs-led, evidence-based, and deliver the best value for the community.

Requirements

* Proven experience in a similar role within a Local Authority, specifically within children's services.
