About Us:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team within a secure prison environment in London. Our facility is committed to providing high-quality mental health care to our patients, ensuring their well-being and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for inmates.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care.
  • Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to their professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines, including the Mental Health Act.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Must be on the GMC Specialist Register.
  • Ideally, hold Section 12 approval.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a forensic or secure setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
