Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Contact Supervisor for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will supervise and facilitate safe, structured contact between children and their families, ensuring their well-being while promoting positive parenting practices and supporting family development.

About the role:You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Supervise and facilitate contact sessions between children and their families/carers, ensuring the safety and welfare of all involved.
  • Assist families in developing independent contact arrangements within the community where appropriate.
  • Support parents in practising safe and effective parenting skills during contact sessions.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on contact observations, including contributions to court-ordered assessments.
  • Contribute to service development, monitoring, and evaluation to improve contact services.

About you:The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience working with children in need of support and protection.
  • Experience supervising contact sessions between children and their families.
  • Experience in direct work with children, particularly in a safeguarding context.
  • Experience working with families to promote positive parenting and child development.
