About the Role - Cover Supervisor - Lewisham
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
- You will ensure that students remain engaged in their classwork, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support their learning and development.
- Your role will also involve handling student behaviour and maintaining a productive, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Supervising pupils during lessons and ensuring they are engaged with their work.
- Providing feedback to teachers regarding students' progress and behaviour
- Reporting any concerns in accordance with child protection and confidentiality policies.
- Supporting pupils with a wide range of abilities and encouraging their academic success.
Ideal Candidate - Cover Supervisor - Lewisham
- Good knowledge of the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
- Confident in leading and supervising lessons for mixed-ability students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Available immediately and able to commute to Sutton.
