Cover Supervisor
Location: East London
Salary: £100 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-Day Cover

GSL Education London Branch is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work at some of the outstanding secondary schools in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and enjoy working with young people. If you have experience working in schools or are considering a career in teaching, the Cover Supervisor role is a great way to gain valuable classroom experience.

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the teacher.
Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain engaged.
Maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour effectively.
Follow school policies and ensure students complete the work set.
Provide support to students where necessary.
Report back to the school staff on students’ progress and behaviour.

Requirements for a Cover Supervisor:

Previous experience working with young people in a school or similar setting is desirable.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
A proactive and adaptable approach to working in different schools.
A degree or relevant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
