About the Role:
Long Term Futures is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Hackney. This role involves supervising classes across Year 7 to Sixth Form, ensuring lessons run smoothly in the absence of teaching staff. Whether you're an experienced teacher, a recent graduate with tutoring experience, or an aspiring teacher looking to gain valuable school experience, this role is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment.

You'll play a key role in maintaining a positive learning atmosphere, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes across a range of year groups, ensuring students stay on task and complete assigned work
  • Manage behaviour and support students to meet classroom expectations
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment
  • Provide additional support to students where required, helping them access their learning materials
  • Step into other responsibilities as needed, such as assisting with exam invigilation or small group interventions

  • A proactive, adaptable attitude, and the ability to handle varied situations calmly and effectively
