About Us:

Partnering with a boutique consultancy supporting a large-scale global rollout of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) for a major client with over $10B in turnover. As part of this transformative project, seeking a D365 Cutover Manager to oversee the successful execution of the cutover phase across multiple countries. The project is already through the technical cutover phase, and now we are moving into the rollout waves for different regions.

Role Overview:

The D365 Cutover Manager will be responsible for managing the cutover activities across the various country-specific rollout waves of the D365 implementation. This role will involve developing the cutover playbook, overseeing the cutover execution, and ensuring a smooth transition as different regions adopt the new system. You will work closely with the project team, business stakeholders, and local teams to ensure that each country's rollout is executed on time, within scope, and with minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cutover Playbook Creation: Develop and maintain the comprehensive cutover playbook that outlines the detailed steps, processes, and guidelines for each country's rollout wave. Ensure that it addresses data migration, testing, and training requirements for the D365 implementation.
  • Oversee Cutover Execution: Manage and oversee the cutover activities for each region during the D365 rollout waves, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule. This includes coordinating with project teams, business users, IT, and other stakeholders to execute the plan.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders to provide updates on cutover progress, risks, and any changes to the plan. Ensure alignment across the teams involved in the rollout.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks during the cutover process. Take proactive measures to address potential issues that could disrupt the rollout or affect business operations.
  • Data Migration & Testing Oversight: Work with the data migration team to ensure that all relevant data is accurately migrated and validated for each country. Oversee testing activities, ensuring that business processes are functioning correctly before the go-live date.
  • Training & Support: Ensure the necessary training and support are provided to business users in each country prior to go-live. Work with the local teams to address any post-cutover issues and ensure users are comfortable with the new system.
  • Cutover Schedule Management: Develop and manage detailed cutover schedules for each wave of the rollout. Ensure tasks are completed according to the timeline, and provide reporting on progress to senior leadership.
  • Post-Cutover Stabilization: Oversee the post-cutover stabilization phase, ensuring that any issues identified post-go-live are addressed swiftly, and the system is operating smoothly in each region.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing D365 cutover activities, particularly for global rollouts.
  • Strong understanding of the cutover process, including data migration, system validation, testing, and training.
  • Experience in creating and executing a cutover playbook for large-scale ERP implementations.
  • Project management experience with a track record of successful system implementations in multi-country environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple moving parts within tight timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk management skills to address challenges as they arise.
  • Knowledge of D365 and previous experience in global ERP rollouts will be highly advantageous.
