Are you a data journalist looking to join a growing newsroom, with a reputation for developing top-rate reporters, who consistently deliver powerful exclusives on M&A and debt financing?

Our client is a business intelligence service looking to hire their first data reporter to collaborate with data researchers, news reporters and editors. Having invested in developing their data services over the past five years, they are looking for someone to use public and private data to produce insightful stories using text and data visualisation. As the first data journalist hire there you will have the opportunity to make the role your own.

This business has an excellent reputation for supporting journalists’ career development, with most editors there having started as reporters. In addition to reporting from their London office, you will have opportunities to travel to develop your network and learn more about developments in capital markets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Using public and proprietary data to produce data-led reports
  • Writing news analysis and producing data visualisations to tell stories about M&A trends

Requirements include:

  • Experience as a business journalist
  • A NCTJ qualification or experience as a data journalist
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
