What you'll do:

As a Deal Manager in Loan Operations, your role will be pivotal in facilitating Lending Business areas and wider group stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing transactions as effectively as possible, with risk mitigation and data quality being paramount. Your ability to review Draft Documentation at appropriate stages and suggest changes to improve the operational aspect of the transaction will be crucial. You will also be tasked with booking New Deals & Facilities in Lending Source System, ensuring accuracy of data capture. Your role will also involve managing initial pay away conditions in line with the New Deal / New Facility checklists and completing Security build in source booking system. Additionally, you will oversee overdue covenants and breaches for escalation (via BU Dashboard meetings) and produce Risk Event write ups and analysis to close out gaps and reduce risks within the operating environment.

* Facilitate Lending Business areas and wider group stakeholders to manage transactions effectively.* Ensure risk mitigation and data quality are at the forefront of the service provided.* Review Draft Documentation at appropriate stages, suggesting changes to improve the operational aspect of the transaction.* Book New Deals & Facilities in Lending Source System, ensuring accuracy of data capture.* Manage initial pay away conditions in line with the New Deal / New Facility checklists.* Complete Security build in source booking system.* Track all conditions subsequent, including Credit defined sell downs.* Reconcile Derivatives booking versus Loan profiles to ensure the hedge is effective (if applicable).* Oversee overdue covenants and breaches for escalation (via BU Dashboard meetings).* Produce Risk Event write ups and analysis to close out gaps and reduce risks within the operating environment.

The ideal candidate for this Deal Manager - Loan Operations role will bring strong experience over a broad and complex product range. You will have strong LoanIQ experience and the ability to build deals. Your ability to interpret and operationalise complex credit, ancillary & security documentation will be crucial in this role. A solid understanding of the lending risk environment is required, along with an understanding of downstream implications, including finance, funding, risk reporting (market, operational and credit). System knowledge and flexibility are also key, as you will need to navigate and adapt to changes through a constantly changing technical environment.
