Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations
  • Provide the management team with essential information to operate efficiently
  • Create and maintain a positive, productive, and safe working environment
  • Forecast and manage staffing levels to meet business demands
  • Liaise with senior operational staff for major events, ensuring efficient supply of equipment
  • Investigate and resolve customer and staff complaints promptly
  • Continually review warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement
  • Foster a culture of developing and coaching staff to achieve their maximum potential
  • Assist in the recruitment, interview, and selection of staff
  • Monitor warehouse expenditure to remain within budget guidelines
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best possible deals and supply

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and operations
  • Experience in planning logistics, staffing levels, and facilities management
  • Familiarity with high-performance culture and excellent time management skills
  • Thorough understanding of relevant Health and Safety procedures and Financial Management
  • Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
  • Full, clean driving licence
